“ kwao krua ” is a
native herbal plant found in deep forests of the
northern region of Thailand. It
has been well known to local people for many years due to its
distinguished properties and efficacy as well as regarded as the
national identity of traditional medicine. Researchers and
academics have applied the
wisdom and knowledge of old people to reveal its miracle while
many state universities have included kwao krua studies
in their master degree courses. According to its classification,
there are 4 varieties of kwao krua that are beneficial and can
be used for medicinal, food supplementary and cosmetic
purpose namely White Kwao Krua (Pueraria mirifica),
Red Kwao Krua ( Butea superba ), Black
Kwao Krua and Dull Grey Kwao Krua.
Researchers and academics have succeeded in their research by
being
able to select good varieties
of Kwao Krua particularly White and Red Kwao Krua
to ensure their efficacy and safety to be used an essential
ingredient of Thai traditional medicine, food supplement and
cosmetics. It has found that “ White Kwao Krua ” is
suitable for woman and can be used as a tonic and longevity drug
for purpose of stiffening and tightening breast, nourishing skin
and making skin soft , smooth and brilliant , black and
glittering hair and relieving muscle strain and aches. “
Red Kwao Krua ” is suitable for men as a tonic, longevity
drug in restoring sexual ability and relieving fatigue,
hypertension and cholesterol in blood.

the type and variety of them to ensure that they have been selected and
developed for true efficacy and
